Frequently asked questions

Do I have to know how to dance to take a Chakaboom class?

No. The moves are easy to learn and we will give you several options to fit your style and fitness level. Just come, keep your body moving and have fun.

What should I bring to class?

Be sure to bring a small towel, water and a smile. The fire stations have water fountains available, and we have bottled water for sale.

What do I wear to class?

Wear what you are most comfortable in and a good pair of sneakers. Most students wear shorts and t-shirts or workout clothes and running shoes.

Do I need special equipment for Chakatoning?

No, we provide the resistance bands and floor mats. If you prefer to bring you own mat, please do.

What do I need for Kangoo Jumps?

We have Kangoo boots you can rent, but you do need to bring tall socks to ensure a comfortable fit for the boots. We will walk or “jump” you through the rest.

Do I need special equipment for Chakabar?

No, we provide the weights, bar, mats, and anything else you need. If you prefer to bring your own mat, please do.

Do I have to sign up for a long-term commitment?

No, your first Chakaboom class is free and we will not solicit you afterward.  Each class is $7.00; $13.00 for Kangoo Jumps if you need to rent boots. Class packages are available at a discount. You can view and purchase our class packages here. You may also purchase classes in person at any of our locations. We accept cash, check or credit card.
Please note: when paying with a credit card, there is a small credit card fee of 2.75%. 

If I purchase a package of classes – when do they expire?

1 Class
30 day expiration from purchased date.

5 Class Package
2 month expiration from purchased date.

12 Class Package
3 month expiration from purchased date.

20 Class Package
6 month expiration from purchased date.

40 Class Package
12 month expiration from purchased date.

(When you purchase your first package of classes, a one-time $1.00 charge for a key tag will be included.)

May I take more than one class a day?

Yes. We have many students taking on a “Chakadouble” and even a “Chakatriple” on many days. Just swipe your key tag for each class and join the fun.

Is there parking available?

Yes there is ample parking available at each of our locations. For the Franconia Fire Station, there is parking in the rear of the station. You may also park in the church parking lot just next door to the fire station.

Can I bring my kids to class?

Yes. We have a “kid’s corner” where kids can dance, sit or play and have fun while you enjoy the best workout you’ve ever had.

Will Roberson or Leo be available to answer my questions if I need help?

Yes. We are here to help you in any way we can. We are available before and after each class to answer questions, address concerns and offer any guidance you may need.
